Launched in February, the CCAF is designed to meet the rising demand for faster charging and longer lifespans in lithium-ion, sodium-ion batteries, and supercapacitors. The carbon nanotube (CNT) coating enhances conductivity and reduces interface contact resistance, vital for high-rate discharge batteries. Incorporating CCAF can boosts LFP battery energy density from 625Wh/L to 700Wh/L, extending battery cycle life. Sodium battery cycle life can also be improved by 20% with CCAF.
The CCAF foil also tackles the issue of electrolyte corrosion, particularly with newer LiFSI additives in next-gen batteries. Data from Electrochemical Corrosion CV and SEM analyses show the CNT coating’s protective effect against LiFSI electrolyte corrosion, further prolonging battery life.
SiAT’s CCAF uses CSAC’s aluminum foil for batteries (model CSM2403), produced in
The joint CCAF product from SiAT and CSAC has attracted strong interest and numerous sample requests from battery and electric vehicle vendors at the Battery Show Detroit.
