Appointment of Non-Executive Director

 

 

Sylvania (AIM: SLP), the platinum group metals ("PGM") and chrome producer and developer, with assets in South Africa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Preece to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

Martin is a highly experienced individual with an established track record of 40 years in the mining industry, and a deep technical understanding covering the full mining value chain. Martin held a number of leadership roles at dual listed Gold Fields over an eight-year period including Executive Vice President South Africa, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Martin was appointed to various operational and strategic roles at De Beers in South Africa and Canada.

About Sylvania Platinum Limited

Sylvania Platinum is a lower-cost producer of platinum group metals ("PGMs") (platinum, palladium and rhodium) and chrome with Operations located in South Africa. The Sylvania Dump Operations ("SDO") is comprised of six chrome beneficiation and PGM processing Plants focusing on the retreatment of PGM-rich chrome tailings materials from mines in the Bushveld Igneous Complex ("BIC"). The SDO is the largest PGM producer from chrome tailings re-treatment in the industry.
