Alaska residents will be the first in theU.S. to use translucent polycarbonate driver’s license and ID cards from Thales, a new generation of laser-engraved, polycarbonate card technology for enhanced security protection. -
With this second consecutive contract,
Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and Thales renew their partnership for up to another 10 years, with nearly 225,000 driver’s licenses and ID cards issued annually.
