For the sixth consecutive year,
“We take pride in investing in the growth, promotion, and retention of women in our workforce, across every level and role within our company,” says
Each year, nominations are reviewed by Redefining the Road based upon set criteria and characteristics that distinguish companies recognized. These characteristics include corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities. Selected nominees are then voted on industry-wide, with more than 31,000 transportation professionals participating in this year’s ballot. Ryder is among 134 companies named to the 2024 list across a diverse range of business sectors in the commercial freight transportation marketplace, including motor carriers, third-party logistics companies, and original equipment manufacturers.
“Many companies in the transportation industry take serious steps to recruit and retain a diverse workforce,” says
Earlier this year, WIT recognized two female leaders from Ryder as part of its “Top Women to Watch in Transportation” list. The annual list honors women leaders for their career achievements and ongoing efforts to promote gender diversity within their companies and the transportation industry. Furthermore, Ryder continues to be recognized as an employer of choice for women, with Newsweek naming the company one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity” in 2024.
