About the company

Chesapeake Gold Corp. is a Canadian exploration and evaluation stage mining company. The Company is focused on the exploration and development of precious metal deposits in North and Central America. Its flagship asset is the Metates Project (Metates) located in Durango State, Mexico. Metates is 100% owned by Chesapeake and is located 175 kilometers northeast of Mazatlan in Durango state and is an undeveloped disseminated gold and silver deposit in the world. The Company also has a portfolio of exploration properties in Mexico comprising 10,008 hectares in the states of Durango, Sinaloa and Veracruz. The Lucy project comprises 483 hectares and is within five kilometers of a paved highway. Its Talapoosa is a low-sulphidation gold/silver property in the Walker Lane gold trend of western Nevada, approximately 45 kilometers east of Reno. Talapoosa consists of 535 unpatented lode mining claims and seven additional fee land sections which cover 14,780 hectares.
