Capital Power Corporation is a growth-oriented power producing company. The Company develops, acquires, owns, and operates utility-scale renewable and flexible generation (natural gas generation assets and energy storage) facilities and manages its related electricity and natural gas portfolios by undertaking trading and marketing activities. It is involved in the operation of electrical generation facilities within Canada and in the United States. It has approximately 12 gigawatts (GW) of power generation capacity at 32 facilities across North America. Its La Paloma facility is 1,062 megawatts (MW) combined cycle gas-generation facility located in Kern County, California. The Company operates Harquahala, which is a 1,092 MW combined cycle gas-generation facility located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Hummel is a 1,124 MW combined cycle flexible generation facility located in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania. Joffre Cogeneration is a 480 MW natural gas-fired combined-cycle generation facility.
