Austal Limited is an Australia-based global shipbuilder and defense prime contractor designing, constructing and sustaining advanced commercial and defense vessels. The principal activities of the Company include the design, manufacture and support of high-performance vessels for commercial and defense customers. The Company operates through four segments: USA Shipbuilding, USA Support, Australasia Shipbuilding and Australasia Support. The USA Shipbuilding segment includes the USA manufactures high-performance defense vessels primarily for the US Navy and Coast Guard. The USA Support segment provides ongoing support and maintenance of Austal and non-Austal vessels to the US Navy, principally in the United States (USA) and other international jurisdictions. The Australasia Shipbuilding segment comprises Australia, Philippines and Vietnam shipbuilding operations. The Australasia Support segment comprises Australia and Trinidad and Tobago operations.
