Okura Industrial Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the processing, manufacturing and sales of various polyethylene and polypropylene products, various optically functional film products, processed plywood, particle board and processed board, land development and building construction and sales, as well as hotel management and real estate leasing. It operates through three segments. The Synthetic Resin segment produces and sells synthetic resin products such as polyethylene film and polypropylene film. The New Materials segment produces and sells liquid crystal display-related materials such as optical functional films. The Building Materials segment is engaged in the production and sales of building materials such as particle board and processed board. The Company is also engaged in hotel business, information processing system development business, non-life insurance agency business, cable television broadcasting business, and real estate leasing business.
