About the company

Potasios de Chile SA is a Chile-based investment company. The Company’s main activities consist in the acquisition and management of shares and debenture bonds issued by the entitiy Sociedad Quimica Minera de Chile SA (SQM SA), which is engaged in the development of specialty plant nutrients and chemicals commodities, such as fertilizers, lithium and iodine derivates, among others. The Company also invests in other financial instruments. As of March 31, 2012, the Company held 6.97% stake in SQM SA, as well as other direct and indirect stakes in Sociedad de Inversiones Pampa Calichera SA, and Nitratos de Chile SA was its majority shareholder with 88.83% of its interest.
