Scotiabank Chile (the Bank) is a Chile-based banking institution. The Bank’s products and services include savings and current accounts, fixed-term deposits, commercial and consumer loans, mortgages, credit and debit cards, financial assessment, as well as other banking. The Bank is also engaged in the insurance sector, by offering financial, family, wealth and individual insurance products. As of December 31, 2011, the Bank owned such subsidiaries, as Scotia Corredores de Bolsa SA, Scotia Administradora General de Fondos Chile SA, Scotia Sud Americano Asesorias Financieras Ltda, Scotia Corredores de Seguros Chile Ltda and Centro de Recuperacion y Cobranza Limitada. In addition, The Bank of Nova Scotia was the Bank's majority shareholder.
