About the company

Sekerbank TAS (Sekerbank) is a Turkey-based commercial bank. The Bank is mainly engaged in agriculture, small business and small to medium enterprise (SME) banking. Sekerbank’s business line covers cash and non-cash loans in Turkish Lira and foreign currency and carrying out capital market transactions, accepting deposits in TRY and FC, as well as providing other banking services. As of December 31, 2011, the Bank had 272 branches. It has affiliates and subsidiaries in the finance sector. The Bank’s subsidiaries are Sekerbank Kibris Ltd, Seker Finansal Kiralama AS, Sekerbank International Banking Unit Ltd, Seker Yatirimm Menkul Degerler AS, Seker Faktoring Hizmetleri AS, Seker Mortgage Finansman AS and Zahlungsdienste GmbH Der Sekerbank TAS. Sekerbank’s major shareholders are Sekerbank TAS Personeli Munzam Sosyal Guvenlik ve Yardimlasma Sandigi Vakfi and BTA Securities JSC, each holding 33.98% stake in the Bank.
