Gem Resources PLC, formerly URA Holdings PLC, is a United Kingdom-based mining company, specialized in the discovery, development, and production of ethically sourced gemstones. The Company’s projects include The Gravelotte Emerald Mine, Malaika Exploration Limited, and Curlew Emerald Mine. Its Malaika Exploration Limited project owns two large-scale exploration licenses covering 1,284 square kilometers (km2) in northeast Zambia. Licenses include prospectively viable quantities of high-grade graphite, coltan (containing niobium and tantalum), lithium, and rare earth elements (REEs). The Project is located within Mesoproterozoic Lundazi Gneiss Group consisting of gneisses and gneissic migmatites. The Curlew Emerald Mine is producing emeralds on a small scale. The project is located 90 km west of Marble Bar.
